- You are required to be responsible for any additional expenses beyond the listed scholarship amount above such as travelling expenses, visa fees (if any), airfare, health insurance, meals, utilities, and other personal expenses.
- In case of staying for less than 1 year, the Materials and Equipment Research Grant will be prorated based on the number of months.

Grant Condition

Obligations and requirements during and after the research period

  1. Grantees must conduct research in Thailand for a minimum period of 3 months and up to 1 year.
  2. Grantees must produce at least one academic output, or other outputs as specified by the faculty, within one year from the date of project completion approval. The output must be in one of the following forms:
    • - Presentation at an international academic conference.
    • - Publication in an international academic journal.
      For the fields of Science and Technology:
      The research must be published or accepted for publication in an academic journal listed in the databases recognized under the regulations of the Civil Service Commission in Higher Education (OCSCHE) regarding criteria for academic journal consideration (current version), and ranked in JCR (Journal Citation Reports), SJR (SCImago Journal Rank), or SCOPUS at Q1 or Q2 level.
      For the fields of Social Sciences and Humanities:
      The research must be published or accepted for publication in an international academic journal indexed in ERIC, MathSciNet, PubMed, Scopus, Web of Science (limited to SCIE, SSCI, and AHCI databases), JSTOR, or Project MUSE, or in accordance with the regulations of the Civil Service Commission in Higher Education (current version). The journal must be ranked in JCR (Journal Citation Reports), SJR (SCImago Journal Rank), or SCOPUS at Q4 level or higher, or TCI Tier 1 or above.
    • - Or other outputs as specified by the faculty.
  3. Research grants must submit at least one of the following as evidence:
    • - Proof of acceptance for publication (Accepted Paper) or confirmation of presentation at an academic conference.
    • - An academic article that has been submitted or accepted for publication, or a Full Paper accepted for presentation at an international conference.
    • - Or other evidence as specified by the faculty.
  4. Academic outputs resulting from the project must clearly state Kasetsart University Sriracha Campus as the author’s affiliation. A faculty member or affiliated personnel should appropriately serve as an advisor or co-researcher, in accordance with research ethics principles.
  5. Published research must include the acknowledgment: “This research project was partially supported by Kasetsart University Sriracha Campus.”

Qualifications and Requirements

Please prepare the following qualifications and documents

Qualifications

  • Hold a valid foreign passport, issued by one of the countries listed above. The passport must have at least 6 months of validity remaining, counted from the day of arrival in Thailand.
  • Be graduate students, researchers or lecturers from partner institutions (contracting parties), or from institutions that are not partner institutions but are approved by the Campus for participation in the selection process, applying for admission to master's degree programs.   • Be able to communicate in English or Thai.
  • Have no health issues that affect their studies.
  • Must possess qualifications that meet the visa requirements as prescribed by the relevant embassy.
  • Must have a research plan to collaborate with faculty members or personnel of Kasetsart University Sriracha Campus.
  • Must be able to carry out their duties and implement activities in accordance with the project plan and specified timeline.
  • In the case of graduate students:
    - Must have at least two years of study remaining in their program and must maintain their student status throughout the duration of the scholarship.
  • In the case of researchers or lecturers, the eligibility shall be in accordance with the criteria set by the respective faculty.
  • Applicants must submit at least a research proposal (Pre-Proposal/Concept Paper) clearly stating the research title, research questions, and research objectives.

Required Documents

  • An electronic copy of an official document certifying student, researcher, or lecturer status, issued by a partner higher education institution of Kasetsart University.
  • A copy of the official academic transcript (for student applicants).
  • A photo taken within the past 6 months
  • A Motivation Letter
  • A list of previous research works (if any).
  • Copies of supporting documents demonstrating academic achievements, awards, or participation in other activities (if any).
  • A copy of a valid English proficiency test result in a recognized standard, such as IELTS, TOEFL, or TOEIC, with a validity period of not more than two years (if any). An electronic copy of the passport (can be submitted after passing the interview).
  • A document outlining the research plan to be conducted in collaboration with faculty members or personnel of Kasetsart University Sriracha Campus.
  • A research proposal (Pre-Proposal/Concept Paper) or Statement of Purpose, categorized as follows:
    - For students: Statement of Purpose
    - For researchers/lecturers: Pre-Proposal (Concept Paper)
  • All document must be in English.

Consideration Criteria

  1. The authority to evaluate and select research grant recipients shall reside with the relevant faculty and Kasetsart University Sriracha Campus, based on the qualifications and supporting documents submitted by the applicants.
  2. In any case not specified in these terms and conditions or consideration criteria, the decision of the Vice President for Sriracha Campus shall be final and conclusive.
