Scholarship Details

Number of Grants

5 research grants.

Grant Duration

Less than or equal to 1 year.

Grant Conditions

Scholarship recipients must conduct research in Thailand for a minimum period of 3 months and up to 1 year.

Scholarship recipients must produce at least one academic output, or other outputs as specified by the faculty, within one year from the date of project completion approval. The output must be in one of the following forms:

Presentation at an international academic conference.

Publication in an international academic journal

Grant Amount

Monthly research grant: 12,000 THB/month/person

Materials and Equipment Research Grant: 10,000 THB/ 1 year

Campus Accommodation Fee: Waive

Remark:
- You are required to be responsible for any additional expenses beyond the listed scholarship amount above such as travelling expenses, visa fees (if any), airfare, health insurance, meals, utilities, and other personal expenses.
- In case of staying for less than 1 year, the Materials and Equipment Research Grant will be prorated based on the number of months.

Qualifications

Hold a valid foreign passport, issued by one of the eligible countries. The passport must have at least 6 months of validity remaining from the day of arrival in Thailand.
Be a full-time graduate student/ researcher/ lecturer from partner universities of Kasetsart University.
Be able to communicate in English or Thai.
Have no health issues that affect their studies.
Must possess qualifications that meet the visa requirements as prescribed by the relevant embassy.
Must have a research plan to collaborate with faculty members or personnel of Kasetsart University Sriracha Campus.
Must be able to carry out their duties and implement activities in accordance with the project plan and specified timeline.
In the case of graduate students:
- Must have at least two years of study remaining in their program and must maintain their student status throughout the duration of the scholarship.
In the case of researchers or lecturers, the eligibility shall be in accordance with the criteria set by the respective faculty.

Required Documents

All documents must be provided in English by a reputable organization or agency.

An electronic copy of an official document certifying student, researcher, or lecturer status, issued by a partner higher education institution of Kasetsart University
A copy of the official academic transcript (for student applicants).
A photo taken within the past 6 months.
A Motivation Letter
A list of previous research works (if any).
Copies of supporting documents demonstrating academic achievements, awards, or participation in other activities (if any).
A copy of a valid English proficiency test result in a recognized standard, such as IELTS, TOEFL, or TOEIC, with a validity period of not more than two years (if any). An electronic copy of the passport (can be submitted after passing the interview).
A document outlining the research plan to be conducted in collaboration with faculty members or personnel of Kasetsart University Sriracha Campus.
A research proposal (Pre-Proposal/Concept Paper) or Statement of Purpose, categorized as follows:
- For students: Statement of Purpose
- For researchers/lecturers: Pre-Proposal (Concept Paper)
